About Me
Australia Writer-Director Ilanthirayan ‘Alan’ Arumugam was born in 1978. Alan’s creative journey started with a passion in poetry and writing, which further developed into directing Stage Plays and Cultural Events in University where he studied Business Administration and Accounting. Alan recalls the short film ‘Copy Shop’ (2001) by Virgil Widrich to be an eye-opener in his taste and perspective of filmmaking. With an appreciation for world films, he also gratefully attributes many of his script and character ideas to his unusual real-life experiences.
